What We Do
NexUp works within communities with significant Indigenous populations and can grow to communities where local leadership capacity, innovation, motivation, and resources exist to support NexUp Initiatives. These include urban neighbourhoods, small towns, rural villages, and on-reserve communities.
NexUp provides low-barrier access to tools, resources, and support (in the form of Community Support Packages) for Youth-Driven collaboration, team building, and leadership development.

Create
NexUp believes in the transformative power of creativity and its ability to enhance our wellbeing. Art is a powerful tool for reflection, healing, and storytelling. We strive to create spaces where young people feel safe making, exploring, and sharing stories.
Move
Movement looks very different for all of us. Finding a movement that feels right can positively impact our health and well-being. If you seek some changes in your life, getting your mind and body moving is a great place to start.
Ground
NexUp is founded on Indigenous ways of knowing that remind us of the importance of our connection to the Land. We believe that our healing and wellness needs are firmly rooted in how we connect ourselves to Mother Earth – by walking in the grass, laying in the sand, and swimming in the oceans.
Engage
At its core, NexUp is about community. We work to bring people together. We are not here to decide or prescribe what healing and wellness are, and we are here to help facilitate the spaces we need to find those solutions together.
